CCST has experienced rapid development in recent years and has undertaken many state-level, large-scale research projects, which have yielded fruitful results both in education and research. The research funds of CCST have increased substantially. From 2006 to 2010, the total amount of research funds accumulated to 630 million RMB yuans, over 60% of which came from state-sponsored projects. There are over 250 state-level research projects in total, of which over 90 projects are from the National Science Foundation of China. CCST has award winners of one Top Award and three Second Award for National Science & Technology Progress, and seven Top Awards for Provincial Science & Technology Progress. Up until the end of 2010, there have been 2000 publications in total, of which 611 have been indexed by SCI and 762 by EI. More than 50 academic monographs have been published, together with about 236 of patents and software copyrights. In China Discipline Ranking 2006, the discipline of Computer Science and Technology of Zhejiang University was ranked within the top three in the nation.
