Reported by: Liao Heng (Huawei Fellow, Chief Scientist of Huawei 2012 Lab, Chief Scientist of HiSilicon)

About the Content: What are the similarities our era shares with that lived by von Neumann and Shannon? Why should we aspire to develop different processor architectures? What problems will besiege the evolution of architecture? How to choose direction of research? What method is applied to find an answer? Dr. Liao Heng will give a macro-explanation on the frontier development trends and evolution elements of processor technology based on his own experience.

bout the Lecturer: Liao Heng, Ph.D. from Tsinghua University, post-doctorate at Princeton University. His research areas cover storage controller architecture, SSD controllers, high-performance server-class CPUs, AI processors and so on. He has obtained more than 30 patents.
