On the afternoon of April 8th, Professor Tian Qi, the Chief Scientist of Huawei Cloud AI and an academician of the International Eurasian Academy, was invited as a guest for the 20th session of the Turing Lecture at Zhejiang University. He delivered a report titled Computer Vision: Past, Present, and Future at the Qiu Shi Hall of the Zijin Gang Campus Hotel, bringing an overview of computer vision, its development process, basic technology, and application scenarios to the Turing class students in a simple and understandable way, combined with his research direction. The cutting-edge algorithms such as multi-layer perceptrons and design of handcrafted features amazed the students. After the report, the students actively asked questions, gained a lot from it, and were eagerly looking forward to the next Turing Lecture.
