Brief Biography:（个人简介）
Wei Sun (Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, 1992, Drexel University) is currently appointed as Associate Professor, Director of Rapid Product Development Center, and Director of Laboratory for Computer-Aided Tissue Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics, with an affiliate appointment in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science, and Health Systems at Drexel University. Sun’s research and education interests are in the interdisciplinary area of Computer-Aided Tissue Engineering, Bioengineering, Design and Manufacturing, CAD/CAM and Solid Freeform Fabrication. Sun has published over 120 technical papers related to his research interests, and conducted over 50 invited seminars, lectures, and presentations.
Sun is currently appointed as Section Editor in Tissue Engineering for Journal of American Society for Artificial Internal Organs (ASAIO), the Guest Editor for Special Issue on Bio-CAD for Journal of Computer-Aided Design. Sun is member of Tissue Engineering Society International, American Society of Mechanical Engineering, Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (IEEE), American Society of Composites, and International Society of Automotive Engineering.
