  为了提高我院研究生的科研职业发展能力,扩展我院研究生的视野,浙江大学计算机学院博士生会将从今年起举办每年一度的“求是名企大讲坛”,邀请国内外知名企业进入校园和大家做面对面的交流和互动。
  首届“求是名企大讲坛”有幸邀请到了Cisco China Chairman & CEO, Jim Sherriff给大家做一场精彩的关于职业选择和职业发展的讲座,届时将有精美小礼品赠送,希望大家踊跃参加。并且本次论坛参加者将计一次读书报告。

  主讲人简介:

  Jim Sherriff
  Chairman and CEO, Cisco China

  Jim Sherriff is Chairman and CEO of Cisco China and has responsibilities for developing and executing Cisco’s overall business strategy in China. He and his team are focused on aligning and coordinating all of Cisco’s business functions in China, including sales, service, research and development, manufacturing, human resources, business development, and site management.

  Prior to this role, Sherriff was Enterprise Segment Senior Vice President, with sales responsibility for 3200 of Cisco’s largest enterprise customers throughout the United States. Under his leadership, Sherriff’s team increased bookings by more than US$1 billion while achieving significant improvements across key customer satisfaction metrics.

  Sherriff has a strong record of producing business results and increasing customer intimacy by managing change with balanced risk. To improve Cisco’s overall customer experience, he implemented further segmentation of Cisco’s enterprise customer coverage models. By emphasizing the value of close government-enterprise partnerships and the unique expertise of Cisco’s service and consulting organizations, Sherriff has continuously kept Cisco relevant and beneficial for its enterprise customers.

  Before joining Cisco, Sherriff had a 20-year career with Hewlett-Packard in various customer-facing roles including sales, executive sales management, and professional services for the Asia Pacific region. He lived with his family in Hong Kong for five years and focused on growth in China and other countries in the region. In his last role at Hewlett-Packard, Sherriff served as Vice President and General Manager of HP Consulting with global responsibility for all of HP’s professional services.

  Sherriff holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from University of California, Irvine
