Ramkin Shetty
Asia CIO & Lean/Six Sigma Director
Ramkin began his career in 1997 as an Intern for General Electric (GE) Company. He worked in a variety of Quality & Information Technology roles in many parts of the world including the US, Mexico and China, leading up to the GE Plastics-Asia CIO role in Shanghai, China.
SABIC or Saudi Basic Industries Corporation, one of the world's leading manufacturers of chemicals, fertilizers, plastics and metals, took over the Plastics Unit of GE in 2007.
He assumed his current role as Lean/Six Sigma Quality & CIO for SABIC Innovative Plastics-Asia in January 2008.
Ramkin earned his Computer Engineering Degree from Mangalore University in India and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the US. He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
